The best place for wine...
So if you have been over to my Pinterest lately, you would have noticed a lot of wine decor and DIY wine bottle decorating tips pined. Earlier this week I moved into my new house, hence the lack of action on here, and have set the theme of my kitchen to a red/black and wine.
I am a mom of two little ones so i keep my 12 bottle wine cooler in my kitchen fully stocked and ready to go or else I would be one crazy Momma! So, I saw it only fitting that I match the rest of my kitchen around the wine cooler. Also, there is no need for the garbage man to know Momma has a glass, maybe two, of wine a night; so, I needed to find new ways of disposing of the empty bottles and corks.
Although, my kitchen is still a mad house with boxes everywhere and am unable to show you my kitchen or find a photo online similar to mine. I was able to take care of that pesky judging garbage man problem with a whole bunch of ideas. These, below, I will definitely by implementing into my home and kitchen.
The first set I wanna show you are thing you can do with your left over wine corks. I found these awesome wine cork designs you can create. I found hundred running through Pintrest and just searching the web. All you need for these a a sturdy back base and some hot glue. Then after each bottle you empty just go over and glue the cork in place. When finished you will have created a beautiful work of art from having your Mommy time.
The vases all you need is a clear vase of your liking and some fake flowers of your choice, fill the vase as you go.
The candle holders are also just as simple. Buy two clear candle holders that can fit inside each other with enough room for a single layer of corks. Put a tea light in the smaller holder and enjoy the fire light slighting shinning through the corks. Absolutely beautiful!
Next, if you have a set of wine glasses that have dwindled down to then this cute idea is for you. Just simply flip the glasses upside down and fill the inside with something fitting your theme, such as grapes and berries for wine, then place some decorative candles on top of the base.
Wine bottle lighting has become super popular, you can buy small stringed specifically made for wine bottles that even have fake cork tops for relatively cheap, a few dollars.
I think this idea adds an extra level to that idea just by simply adding a small lamp shade to it, giving the illusion of it being a lamp.
I actually have a couple wine light coming in delivery that I had ordered off of wish and cant not wait to use this idea!
Finally, the last DIY idea I have to share to today is the well know and loved wine bottle painting.
As some may already know, painting these bad boys isn't as easy as it looks. So I have provided a link toHow to Paint Glass. I would definitely recommend taking a look at that before you dive head first into your little DIY. They explain the types of paint to use and when to bake them or not.
If you head over to my Pinterest page you will find links on how to easily remove bottle labels and cutting them.
Great Ideas! Thank you!
